This was the largest team ever – and with many logistical and government challenges, we appreciated every single volunteer’s dedication and time. It was also a special trip as Dr. Don & Nelda Falknor were able to return to San Miguel after a long fight with medical challenges.

TPMF was able to return to do the mission in San Miguel de Allende the last week of August 2022.

600 patients treated in a clinic, 400+ patients received orthotics/braces, 48 patients received surgery, 65 children received new clothing and medicine, and 10 residents were sponsored to attend the mission.

Over 640 patients treated at clinic, 37 surgeries done, over 400 orthotics given and 3 braces, 70 shoes and check ups provided for 2 orphanages and over 300 shoes given out to patients. We had 38 total volunteers and doctors that travelled from Texas and Utah. Over 665 patients were treated during the 2 clinic days at the Hospital General.

What would you do if you could not get foot or ankle care? In central Mexico, near San Miguel De Allende, there are thousands that do not have access to any care at all. Six years ago, a group of podiatric surgeons from Texas adopted this city to provide much needed care for free to the indigent people.

Texas podiatrists make a difference in central Mexico with over 500 patients treated.
