TPMF Medical Mission to Mexico
Each summer, TPMF sponsors a medical mission to Mexico, continuing a tradition of service that began in 1999. Over the years, our international outreach efforts have served several communities, and today our team proudly provides care in San Miguel.
This mission is made possible entirely through the generosity of donors and volunteers. Each year, our dedicated medical team provides specialty healthcare services to more than 500 families who otherwise have little or no access to specialized medical care. Through these efforts, we help improve health outcomes, quality of life, and the ability of individuals to work and care for their families.
We are honored to make a meaningful difference in the lives of those we serve—and you can help make an impact, too.
How You Can Support the Mission
1. Make a Donation
Financial contributions are the most effective way to support the mission. While we work diligently to secure donated supplies and equipment, significant expenses remain, including:
Medications and anesthesia
Medical and surgical supplies
Laboratory testing and X-rays
Transportation and logistics
Orphanage support
Travel grants for resident physicians and trainees
TPMF is an independent 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, and donations may be tax-deductible as permitted by law.
To contribute, click the Donate Now button on our homepage or contact staff@txpmf.org to discuss donation opportunities. Monthly recurring gifts can also be arranged.
2. Donate Medical Supplies
Donations of medical equipment and supplies directly increase the number of patients we can serve. Needed items include:
Medications
Durable Medical Equipment (DME)
Surgical instruments
Anesthesia supplies and medications
Power equipment and surgical hardware
Dopplers and electrosurgical units (Bovies)
Blood pressure cuffs and tourniquet cuffs
Orthotics and diabetic shoes
CAM walkers and post-operative shoes
Operating room packs and related medical supplies
Each year, our team establishes a fully functioning five-day clinic and operating room. Every donated item helps us extend care to another patient in need.
Special Thanks!!
We extend our sincere gratitude to Forward Motion and Empire Extremity for their generous annual donations and ongoing support of our mission.

Medical Mission Team Volunteers
Our mission team consists of a core group of medical professionals and support personnel. Due to space limitations, logistical constraints, and safety considerations, participation is limited.
Working in an underserved international setting can be both challenging and rewarding. Team members must be flexible, collaborative, and prepared to work in a resource-limited environment.
Individuals interested in joining the medical mission team should submit their request by February 1 each year and review the following requirements:
Volunteer Criteria
Be available and willing to work for the full five-day mission, typically Friday through Wednesday.
Hold a current medical license, applicable clinical privileges, and a valid passport.
Provide copies of all required credentials to the mission committee.
Demonstrate a team-oriented attitude and willingness to assist with all aspects of mission operations, including:
Transporting and unpacking supplies
Setting up and breaking down clinic areas
Restocking treatment stations
General support duties as needed
Cover personal travel expenses and contribute toward additional meal or transportation costs when necessary.
Participate in coordinated group travel arrangements organized by TPMF.
Use WhatsApp as the primary communication platform before and during the mission.
Submit passport and medical license documentation at least three months prior to departure for approval by local Mexican authorities and healthcare facilities. Access may be denied at their discretion.
Spanish language skills and experience in medical education, residency training, or mentoring programs are highly valued but not required.
Together, we can continue expanding access to life-changing healthcare for underserved communities. Thank you for supporting the TPMF Medical Mission and helping us bring hope, healing, and compassionate care to those who need it most.
